Our client is looking for an experienced direct marketing professional to serve as Marketing Manager for a major new global initiative targeting owners of accommodations and hotels. Reporting to the Sr Director, Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM), the successful candidate will be responsible for driving subscription acquisition, subscriptions and lifecycle management.

This initiative focuses on Business to Business direct marketing, primarily via email but will most likely include direct mail and telemarketing, to successfully drive the sales to owners and managers of accommodations and hotels globally, though primarily in the US and Europe.
S/he will have the skills and experience to source prospect lists, datasets, test and create copy and disseminate mailings, primarily via email but may include direct mail and telemarketing, to an agreed brief and timeline. Subscriber acquisition is central to the success of the initiative and achievement will be measured against open rates, conversions, subscription and financial targets.

Responsibilities:
-Create e-mail marketing vehicles and to drive customer acquisition, engagement and monetization goals in a B to B environment (small business owners, primarily of hotel properties)
-Understand the customer base in order to effectively segment mailings for relevant offers
-Assess opportunity for and disseminate print mail shots
-Ensure appropriate communication and messaging flow over time to achieve business goals,
-Manage the development and execution of new subscription products
-Develop and execute campaigns to support business goals
-Source new datasets and customer listings internationally that will support registrations and subscriptions
- Oversee interfacing with different systems and datasets to ensure de-duping and targeted
-Support globalization of e-mail marketing programs.
-Work Owner Direct Sales, Product and Engineering teams to deliver on our e-mail marketing strategy, providing end-to-end project management.
-Measure performance and identify levers of improvement - design and analyze relevant reports, lead test/control design and execution, evaluate commercial and technical performance, and identify enhancement opportunities to maximize ROI.

Requirements:
-Demonstrated ability to drive significant level of subscriptions from email marketing, and secondarily, from traditional postal mail marketing and telemarketing
-5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in B2B e-mail marketing, preferably with exposure to both subscription newsletter models and CRM/event-based communications.
-Strong knowledge of best practices for email creative, segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, list growth, etc.
-Experience working with technical staff to build, enhance and troubleshoot e-mail marketing infrastructure.
-Experience working with sophisticated self-service email delivery tools and customer management systems.
-Demonstrated ability to think creatively
-Able to work quickly, not afraid to experiment and amend approach based on data analysis
-Experienced business judgment required.
-Awareness of global privacy laws required
-Strong organization and analytic skills required.
-Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor preferred.
